New felted dress by »fabulous felt«

The inspiration for this dress came from the necklace that I made first. I have made some strips of prefelt that are laid on the table first (see two lines on the dress perpendicular to all the strands). Then made more than a thousand wet and thin (and quite long) strands of wool.
First layer of the strands was then covered with square bubble wrap and then the second layer was put on the top. The ends are hanging freely on the side of the table. I had to keep the strands wet otherwise they will puff up and felt together! So once the dress was started it had to be felted for 13 hours without a break! → Read More
