The winter issue of the FUN 2012 offers you a real insider´s tip: The felted fashion by Diana Nagorna from the Ukraine. Her fashion underlines femininity in a sensual way, as you can see on the cover of this issue. Diana Nagorna felts matching accessoires and bags that are completed with leather. A selection of her beautiful bags is printed on our winterly cover also. Brigitte Eertink (from the Netherlands) uses similar colors like turquois and soft pink for her felted creations. The back cover of this winter issue shows a detailled picture of one of her dreamily, romantic objects. Warm covers for teapots and stylish objects are the brand mark of the artist Pamela MacGregor. Kitty Korver went from pottery to felt on her artistic path. Horst Couture presented his new collection at the Amsterdam Fashion Week. With dyeing, adding and piecing it all together he makes wedding gowns from his grandmothers shop come alive again. With this beatiful way he shows his deep love for his grandmother.
We report about three international workshops: Rutsuko Sakata brought Asian air with her workshop about jackets and jewelry, Jorie Johnson showed her students the clever technique »Upcycling« and Joke van Zinderen taught the Shibori technique in her workshop.
A felters network has been founded at East Frisia, their first exhibition took place at the park of a moated castle, in open air over a couple of months. The category of the exhibition reports tells you more about this exhibition and also reports about the Felting School Oberrot and the objects of their graduates.
The Hof Kornrade (farm corn cockle) has everything to offer that a felters heart desires. A herd of sheep, exotic types of wool and helpful tools. You can even attend workshops at this friendly farm. We also introduce you to the shop »Peperblom«, that gives artists the opportunity to sell their objects at a great ambience.
